  30. I just learned this lesson the hard way....a friend from my Public Access 
  31. days (daze?) referred to me a doctor who was producing a sex therapy show 
  32. for Public Access...he wanted a nice into and had some money to spend on 
  33. it, but had no idea what he wanted.  Since we were in two different 
  34. states, there was no way for me to hash out the details in person, so I 
  35. agreed to put together a "rough" demo of what I thought he wanted.  I spent 
  36. about 30 hours working on it and rendered out a 10-second animation that 
  37. looked pretty good...just to protect myself, I put my name in a couple of 
  38. places, figuring that he wouldn't be able to use that version for anything.

  40. He received it, liked it, and said he would get back to me in a few days 
  41. to finalize everything and issue partial payment on the price we had 
  42. agreed upon.  The guy never got back to me and a few weeks later I 
  43. received a call from my friend saying that this guy was using my intro 
  44. on his show, but he was using the Public Access studio equipment to block 
  45. out my name and other elements I put in there to make it unusable!

  47. I'm still trying to resolve this situation but I've pretty much written 
  48. it off as another learning experience.... =(
